This may seem like a no brainer, but a simple mattress on the floor ischeaper than a formal bed frame! You can choose to do without the bed frame andthe headboard or retain the headboard to create the look of a bed without anelevated frame. It'll be easier on the pocket if you've just spent on a newapartment and are being judicious with your finances. That said, floor beds arenot a formal look, and may not suit all decor themes.
