Pet Furniture

Investing in modern, well styled, right sized pet furniture and then training your pet to use it and stay off human furniture is your best bet to make your expensive home decor and furniture last a long time. Well designed pet furniture will be a comfortable spot for your furry friend while you will enjoy your furniture pet hair free and protect it from playful but destructive claws and teeth too!

Floor Finish

Certain floors are better suited to cleaning up the inevitable pet messes, experts recommend vinyl, sealed marble, treated concrete, stone or laminate flooring, all of which are easy to clean and disinfect and resistant to scratches from claws. Wall to wall carpeting is best avoided and area rugs should be the low pile variety, also avoid flooring materials that are slippery and do not provide adequate traction for your pet.

Install A Pet Door

You're tired of cleaning up the pee and the poo everyday when you get back home? Well, consider this, your pet is tired of holding it in and being cooped up while you are out! Installing a pet door will allow your pet to let itself in or out when nature calls and save you the daily clean up routine too, not to mention the smell and the aggravation!

Pet Shower

A well groomed pet, clean, claws clipped regularly and trained to take a leak in the right place, will make for a cleaner home. Grooming your pet is good for your home and for your pet! To help make grooming an easy process consider installing a handheld shower attached to an outdoor tap to reduce the mess, fuss and tantrums come bath-time. Keeping grooming rituals outdoors will leave your bathroom pristine and your home dirt free without trails of soapy water if your pet wiggles free!

Certain interior design choices are better than others when you put a pet in the picture, for instance, stain resistant fabrics are a good bet for upholstery, leather is easier to clean than fabric, good quality vinyl will look great and be low maintenance. Your pet deserves to be a part of the equation when you make interior design choices, keeping your pet in mind when planning a renovation or a remodel will make your life, and your pet's, better and more comfortable.
