Color Walls A Light Shade

As you already lack natural light in your room, the last thing you want to do is enhance the gloom with dark shades on the walls! Use light colored paints in neutrals or pastels. For an illusion of light try using reflective paint finishes.

Mirrors

Mirrors are one of the oldest hacks to make a space look roomier and brighter. Place a mirror in a part of the room where it is able to reflect off maximum light. For instance, if you have a large floor lamp, place a tall mirror just opposite the lamp so that the light can bounce off the mirrors surface and brighten the room.

Clear Doors

When your room lacks a window, a sleek glass door can let in ambient light from the room next door. It is better to use decor items that are sleek and low key. Pick furniture pieces that complement your room and add to existing space.

Multi-Functional Storage

Windowless rooms can feel small, tight and dismal. Save a lot of space by choosing furniture that doubles up as something else. Multi-functional items can play a crucial role, for instance, a storage ottoman can be a seat as well as a magazine holder etc.

Artsy Lighting

Lighting can make or break a room. To make a windowless room appear bright, light up the corners by hanging bulbs from the ceiling. You can also add a source of light behind your bed and bookshelves to create an illusion of outside light filtering into the room.
