I selected the ½ inch thick stone after exhaustive market research for color and textures to complement a dark veneer wall unit on the other end of the room.

The stone wall has mixed colors, ranging from grey to gold to slate, and the morning sun rays falling diagonally on it through the sheer curtains, bring out its stunning beauty.

A close up of the meditating Buddha statue

A brass Meditating Buddha idol embossed with red/teal stone chips is seated atop the side-board and twin wooden Warli and Dhokra lamps topped with brick red lampshades provide much needed color and create a symmetrical, slightly taller display to draw the eye.

Blue Khurja pottery accents

Indian Khurja blue pottery accents add a colorful dimension and the embossed brass-fitted wooden vase/ planter fits perfectly into this scheme of metal and stone.

This is the perfect spot for me to enjoy my morning cuppa and watch the sunlight dance across the room!
