Clear Air Coolers Of Standing Water

Water coolers are a breeding ground for mosquitoes. Add a few drops of essential oil of eucalyptus or lemongrass to the cooler water and clean cooler tray to keep mosquitoes at bay. Change the water regularly and keep the cooler dry when not in use.

Cover Trash Cans

Trash cans for different kinds of waste should be separate and wet trash must be disposed off on a daily basis and kept covered at all times with a lid. Wet kitchen waste is a breeding ground for mosquitoes, prevent this by keeping waste covered and clear regularly.

Grow Plants with Natural Mosquito Repellant Properties

Plants like Tulsi and Marigold are very effective in keeping the mosquitoes at bay, as their scent acts as a natural repellant for the mosquitoes. Although marigolds need a lot of sunlight, you can place a potted marigold inside your home in the evening. Rosemary is also a very good mosquito repellant and can be planted in a kitchen garden due to its several health benefits and taste enhancing qualities.
