All About Laptop Repair
Laptop services can be divided into two kind of services. Ad Hoc repair services and maintenance services. Maintenance services are done once in 6 months or 1 year to keep the laptop hardware clean and dust free and to remove unwanted files and programs from the Operating System. Ad hoc services are taken up when there is a hardware or software issue in the computer.
Under maintenance services there are dust removal, software cleanup, virus check, keyboard cleanup and program updates among a host of other services that are undertaken by the service professionals. Ad Hoc Services consist of repair and replacement of computers as and when needed. These can be anything from mouse repair, keyboard repair, fan repair, screen repair to software installation and Operating System re-installation.
The main problems faced by the customers is the increased cost of replacement post warranty period and finding the service professionals with the right skill level providing services at their doors. The best decision taken is to buy the extended warranty when buying the laptop. This protects the customer from unseen costs due to repairs for 3 years instead of the usual 1 year. Also, the service is taken care by the manufacturer and hence the quality of repair will be dependable and the replacement parts will be of good quality.
Post the warranty period it is preferable to get the service done from manufacturer authorized service professionals. Most manufacturers have tie ups with authorized service professionals who are trained at their service centers. It will be comparatively expensive on the pocket but the service and repaired parts are reliable as compared to unauthorized service professionals.
